Benzema won Onze d’Or award beating Messi and Ronaldo

French forward player Karim Benzema of Spanish club Real Madrid, who has been having one happy moment after another this year, has won the Onze d’Or Award.

Returning to the French national team six years later this week, Benzema became France best player to play outside France from the National Union of Professional Footballers, beating Messi, Lewandowski and Mbappe to win the Onze d’Or Award. Benzema won the award in 2021 for his outstanding performance in European football.

Benzema, 33, who won the award, received 47.3 percent of the vote. Second-placed Messi scored 20.1 per cent, followed by Robert Lewandowski (11.3 per cent), Mbappe (10.3 per cent), Bruno Fernandez (3.5), Ronaldo (3.2), Yoshua Kimmich (1.5), Erling Browat Holland (1) and Romelu Lukaku (0.8). Ilke Gundogana received 0.7 percent of the vote and Luis Suarez 0.3 percent of the vote.

After receiving the award, Benzema said he had been waiting for a long time to return to the French team and had worked hard to return to the French team. He also said that he did not give up even after being dropped from the national team and encouraged them to work harder.

Benzema also said that the French team is excellent and has a majority of talented players and is excited to play with them. The 33-year-old continued his high performance and was forced to call up coach Didier Deschamps. “I’ve been doing consistently well lately,” said Benzema. “I don’t want to say I’m better than others, but I’ll try to do better on the pitch.”

Benzema also said that Kylian Mbappe was a young and talented player and that his partnership with him would be an attempt to understand each other. On Saturday, the last day of La Liga, Benzema want to end the season on a high by winning the title over Real Madrid.
