Corona Virus variant found in Nepal is 50% more infective than U.K. variant

According to Ministry of Health and Population Nepal, while doing gene sequencing in one of the laboratory of India B/1/617/1 variant and B/1/617/1 variant were found and in total there are three types of variant found in Nepal. WHO has declared these variants as the variant of global concern in the May month.

Edpidemiology and Disease Control Division has said that the third variant which was recently found is 50% more infective than other variant. According to Epidemiology and Disease Control Division Chief Dr. Krishna Poudel, this variant is 40% to 50% more infective than variant found in U.K. He also said that, this variant is risky to the people of age group from 20 to 44.
