Dissolution of the House of Representatives, new elections on November 12 and November 19

An emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers held at Baluwatar, Kathmandu at midnight has decided to dissolve the House of Representatives and hold elections for the new House of Representatives on November 12 and 19.

The cabinet meeting held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar at midnight on Friday has decided to dissolve the House of Representatives and hold mid-term elections in two phases on November 29 and December 12.

After failing to form a majority government as per Article 76 (5) of the Constitution, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is about to dissolve the House of Representatives constitutionally.
