The Siddhartha Highway has been blocked due to continuous rains for the past few days. Spokesperson at the District Police Office, DSP Rajendra Prasad Adhikari informed that the road was closed due to the landslide at Bhalupahad on the Syangja-Pokhara road section at 6 am in the morning.

DSP Rajendra Prasad Adhikari said that there is a problem to remove the landslide as it is still raining and it would take time to open the road as landslides have been falling continuously since this morning. He said that preparations are being made to bring dozers from Pokhara to remove the landslide. The landslide occurred while the road was being widened in Bhalupahad. This road connects Syangja, Palpa, Pokhara and Butwal.
