Andrea Meza from Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2020. It was the 69th edition of Miss universe competition which was held on May 16, 2021 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA. She was crowned by her former Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa. She has a degree in software engineering. She is an activist which focuses on women rights and inclusion and currently works closely with the Municipal Institute for Women which aims to end gender violence. She is also the official Tourism Brand Ambassador for Chihuahua.
