Police have arrested Rabin Karki, son of State 1 MP Bindiya Karki, to investigate a car accident that killed one person at Biratnagar Airport.

Karki, who was absconding after the accident on Thursday night, was arrested on Sunday afternoon. Police said that Karki was arrested on the basis of eyewitness statement and evidence found at the spot. Man Bahadur Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Morang, said that the car was seen being driven by Rabin karki at the time of the accident.

Mukesh Sharma, a 35-year-old Indian national, was killed in a collision with a car (Pradesh 3-01-002 Cha 2139) used by State Assembly member Bindiya on Thursday night. Ram Kumar Rajbanshi, 27, of Katahari Village Municipality-2 of Morang was injured in the accident.
