People were terrorized because of buying food for one week in two days: Nepali Congress

The main opposition party, the Nepali Congress, has protested against the deadline given by the three district chiefs of the Kathmandu Valley to buy enough food within two days, saying that it has terrorized the people. A meeting of office bearers and former office bearers held at the residence of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha on Wednesday has given an ultimatum as to buy the food within two days.

The meeting concluded that the government was only terrorizing the people rather than controlling and preventing corona. The Nepali Congress (NC) has protested against the closure of food shops in the Kathmandu Valley within two days.

The Kathmandu Bhaktapur and Lalitpur administrations, which met on Tuesday, have also decided to close food shops and department stores in the Kathmandu Valley from May 28 to June 4. In addition, the general public has been given two days to buy food.

However, the Congress has suggested that the government should provide relief to the workers who are struggling to make a living by running small businesses in the morning and evening. The Congress meeting has concluded that the government should provide relief in such an pandemic and not create terror among the people.
