Spain and Italy enters semi-finals of Euro Cup 2020

Spain and Italy have reached the semi-finals of the Eurocup 2020. In the first match of the quarterfinals, Spain defeated Switzerland and in the second match, Italy defeated Belgium to reach the semifinals.

Spain beats Switzerland 3-1 in a penalty shootout on Friday night. Spain took a 1-0 lead at the start of the first half with a suicide goal from Switzerland. In the 8 th minute of the match, Jodi Alba’s shot hit Denis Zakaria’s leg and the goal was scored.

For Switzerland, trailing 1-0, Cerdan Sakiri kept the team’s hopes alive by scoring a goal. He scored in the 68th minute of the game. Switzerland’s Remo Friler was sent off in the 77th minute for a fight with a Spanish player. But Spain could not add any goal.

Both teams could not score in the extra time after the scheduled 90 minutes of play ended in a draw. The game was then decided by a penalty shootout.

Italy defeated Belgium 2-1 in the second quarterfinal. In the 31st minute of the game, Nicolo Barela of Italy gave his team the lead by scoring a goal. Then in the 44th minute, Lorenzo Isigne added another goal to double the lead.

Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku shortened Italy’s lead in the injury time of the first half. But he could not score any more goals in the second half and the result was handed over to Italy.

The rest of the quarterfinals will be played on Saturday night between the Czech Republic and Denmark and Ukraine and England.
