The plant has been giving oxygen through cylinders to the patients who have been admitted to Covid Hospital for three days after the plant failed to supply oxygen and has been reluctant to admit new infected people. The oxygen plant of the establishment has been facing problems since Thursday. Despite the technicians trying to repair it, they did not succeed until Saturday evening. The establishment has been criticized on social media for refusing to admit new patients to Covid Hospital due to lack of oxygen supply from the plant.

Political parties and civil society leaders in Dharan have been criticizing the officials for not paying attention to repairing the plant on time. Sujendra Tamang, a former employee of the foundation and Sunsari district secretary of the Nepali Congress, said that the lack of oxygen and deteriorating health services at this time showed the depression, negligence and irresponsibility of the top officials.
