This year’s SEE will also be conducted by internal evaluation

This year’s SEE will also be held on the basis of internal evaluation of schools. The cabinet meeting has decided to conduct the SEE examination nationwide due to the corona infection.

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Shivamaya Tumbahangphe informed that the cabinet meeting decided to conduct the SEE through internal evaluation. “It has been decided to take the exam from SEE internal assessment,” she said.

Similarly, the Council of Ministers has decided to start the new academic session from Asar month,” she said.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has informed that it is preparing to complete the internal evaluation of SEE before Asar month.

Last year, the SEE results were based on an internal assessment of the Corona epidemic. The National Examination Board had prepared a separate procedure for this. This time too, the students are being evaluated on the basis of the same procedure. However, the board has stated that the procedure may be amended. Experts had pointed out the need to amend last year’s shortcomings.

According to last year’s SEE operation procedure, the details of the final assessment conducted by the school should be sent to the Education Development and Coordination Unit of the concerned district and the Education Development and Coordination Unit should send it to the National Examination Board. It states that on the basis of such details, the board will prepare the examination results, publish and certify them and issue certificates.

Earlier, the SEE National Examination Board had postponed the SEE due to the corona pandemic. According to the board, 517,000 students are preparing for SEE. The board had ruled that the examination could not be conducted in 2,019 examination centers across the country as the situation was out of control.

Similarly, the board had also postponed the class 12 examination scheduled to be held from Jestha 26. The government has not yet decided how to conduct the Class 12 examination. An official of the Ministry of Education said that the ministry has started internal discussions on how to conduct the Class 12 examination but has not reached a decision yet. The ministry is preparing to take a decision on the class 12 examination soon.
