Verocell vaccine is being given to people above 60 years of age in these places in Kathmandu from today.

The first dose of Chinese vaccine Verocell has been given to senior citizens from Tuesday.

Senior citizens in the age group of 60 to 64 years have been vaccinated against the corona virus since Tuesday. The vaccination campaign will run for five days from Tuesday to Jestha 29 and arrangements have been made to vaccinate senior citizens of different ages every day to reduce congestion, said Kathmandu Metropolitan Chief Vidya Sundar Shakya. Chief Shakya said that the target is to vaccinate one lakh senior citizens in five days.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has identified 32 vaccination centers for vaccination and they can be vaccinated at the nearest vaccination center, said Chief Shakya. He also said that if another senior member of the family accompanies the senior citizen, he or she will be facilitated to get vaccinated without taking turns. Today 64-year-olds, (Jestha 26) 63-year-olds,(Jestha 27) 62-year-olds, (Jestha 28) 61-year-olds and (Jestha 29) 60-year-olds will be vaccinated.
