Eight lakh doses of Verocell vaccine from China have reached Kathmandu

Eight lakh doses of Verocell vaccine against corona virus purchased from China have arrived in Kathmandu.

A widebody aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation has brought 800,000 doses of vaccine from Beijing, China to Kathmandu this morning. It has brought eight lakh doses of vaccine in the first phase, said Captain Dipu Jwarchan of Nepal Airlines Corporation.

Nepal has purchased 4 million doses of vaccine from China’s Synopharm Company. In the first consignment, the airplane of the corporation has brought eight lakh doses of vaccine.

Similarly, the airplane of the corporation is scheduled to leave for China on Ashar 31 for the second consignment. Similarly, the airplane of the corporation will be going to China on Shrawan 7 to bring the vaccine in the third consignment.

The vaccine brought today will be given to citizens above 55 years of age, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
