The death toll has risen to more than 100 since the second wave of corona infection began in Kavre. A total of 103 people have lost their lives in the 29-day period from April 29 to Thursday, said Kavre Senior Health Administrator. Narendra Kumar Jha informed.

A total of 96 people died at Dhulikhel Hospital and Shir Memorial Hospital, six at home isolation and one at Janak Secondary School in Namobuddha.

According to Dr. Jha, 25 people from Dhulikhel Municipality, 19 from Banepa, 9 from Panauti, 5 from Mandandeupur, 4 from Namobuddha Municipality, 4 from Rossi Municipality, 3 from Panchkhal, 2/2 from Bethanchowk and Chaurideurali and 1 from Bhumlu have died. Similarly, 29 people from other districts who were treated at Dhulikhel Hospital have died.

The head of the emergency department of Dhulikhel Hospital, who is in charge of the treatment and management of the corona infection, According to Dr. Sanukrishna Shrestha, the majority of deaths are among senior citizens, the chronically ill and those with other complex diseases. He informed that the infected person is dying due to coming to the hospital only in the last stage due to a complex problem.

The victims ranged in age from 20 to 90. According to the Kavre Health Office, there are 5 people in the age group of 20 to 30 years, 11 people in the age group of 31 to 40 years, 16 people in the age group of 41 to 50 years, 17 people in the age group of 51 to 60 years, 28 people in the age group of 61 to 70 years, 18 people in the age group of 71 to 80 years and 81 to 90 years. Eight people have lost their lives. According to the hospital involved in the treatment of the senior citizens, those who were chronically ill and remained at home even after the infection was confirmed.
