Nine killed in California rail yard shooting

Nine people have been killed in a shooting at a railway yard in San Jose, California.

According to US media reports, employees of the Santa Clara Valley Transport Authority in San Jose opened fire indiscriminately on Wednesday morning. The dead included staff members 1and shooters.

According to police, the employees had even set fire to their house before firing. According to CBS, the shooting took place during a meeting of railway employees.

According to CBS, the gunman was identified as 57-year-old Samuel Cassidy. Local media reported that he shot himself after firing on employees. But police officials have not officially confirmed this.
