Ronaldo announced as Portugal’s Euro Cup Captain

Portugal have been named in the squad for the Euro 2020, captained by club Juventus superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugal’s head coach Fernando Santos on Thursday announced the 26-member squad of defending champions Portugal for the upcoming Euro Cup.

Santos has included veterans and experienced players as well as young players in the team. Coach Santosh has included veteran Ronaldo, Pepe, Rui Patricio and Joe Moutinho in the squad.

The team also includes star players such as Joe Cancello, Ruben Diaz, Bruno Fernandez, Andre Silva, Bernardo Silva, Diego Jota, Joe Felix.

Portugal is also the previous winner. He won the title in 2016, beating France 1-0 in extra time. Portugal is also seen as a title contender this season.

Portugal, now in Group F, will play Hungary on June 15. Before that, Portugal is scheduled to play friendly matches against Spain on June 4 and Israel on June 9.
